Keyword Category Finder is a small and simple software tool for Windows 9x/NT/2K/XP that helps you locate the right categories for various keywords at Yahoo and  DMOZ (Open Directory).

Most people find it difficult to decide on the suitable categories in Yahoo or DMOZ while submitting their web pages or sites for inclusion in the directory. There are too many categories that need to be drilled through and looked at before deciding on the most suitable 1-2 categories...

Here is a simple tool (just a small 20kb download) that makes picking suitable categories a lot simpler.

The DMOZ categories are picked through Google (since most people use Google anyway).

Simply type in a base keyword and click 'Go'.  The software will connect to Yahoo and Google and come back with a list of suitable categories for both.

The category names are presented as links. You can click on them to open the corresponding category listing in your browser.

The category names and the associated URLs may be easily copied to the clipboard by clicking on the link named [Copy to clipboard].
